New Ice Creams Capture The Taste Of Old-Fashioned Floats
CINCINNATI, OHIO --- For years, consumers have combined soft drinks and ice cream to create delicious, refreshing treats. Now United Dairy Farmers (UDF) of Cincinnati, Ohio is introducing a new line of ice creams that capture the unique taste experience of old-fashioned floats - new Homemade Brand Ice Cream Floats. Available flavors include Cherry Cola Float, Red Creme Soda Float, and Root Beer Float.
“We have combined our premium Homemade Brand Vanilla Bean ice cream with an extreme blast of soft drink-flavored sherbets,” says Stu Roemke, Manager of Research and Development at UDF. “The result is a delicious, totally authentic ice cream float taste that even captures the carbonation sensation of soft drinks.”
The idea for the new line came directly from the company’s young fans. “We are always looking for innovative flavor ideas,” says Jim May, Vice President – Wholesale Subsidiary at UDF. “Whenever we ask kids what new flavors of ice cream they would like, a few always seem to make the list – pizza and soft drinks. While we still have some work to do on the pizza idea, we believe we have created something very unique with Homemade Brand Ice Cream Floats.”
The new line is available in 16 oz. packages at all United Dairy Farmers stores and at area grocers and has a suggested retail of $2.79.
